Mercedes-Benz Unveils the Game-Changing 2026 CLA 250 4MATIC
August 26 2025 - Gary Mollohan

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 4MATIC marks a bold leap into the future, debuting as part of Mercedes’ first wave of vehicles built on the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA). This compact luxury sedan is now available in both all-electric and hybrid configurations. The electric variant features dual permanently excited synchronous motors delivering 349 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, paired with a high-efficiency two-speed transmission and an 85 kWh battery. It boasts an estimated range of up to 479 miles (WLTP) and can add nearly 195 miles of range in just 10 minutes using compatible 800-volt DC fast chargers.

Compared to previous iterations, the 2026 CLA 250 4MATIC is a complete reinvention. It introduces the MB.OS infotainment system, integrating AI from Microsoft and Google for smarter, more intuitive interactions. The cabin is quieter and more refined, and the electric model now includes a “frunk” (front trunk)—a first for Mercedes in 90 years—thanks to its space-saving drivetrain layout. Aerodynamics have also been optimized, with a drag coefficient of just 0.21, making it one of the sleekest sedans in its class.

Factory options on this CLA 250 4MATIC in beautiful MANUFAKTUR Patagonia Red Metallic include AMG Line Package with 18" AMG Wheels, Heated Front Seats & Steering Wheel, Blind Spot Assist, and more. See specifications.

"[The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA] focuses on intelligence rather than excess, promising impressive range figures thanks to its efficient powertrain that makes the most out of the battery pack," wrote Car and Driver. "It's a refreshing change from the overweight, overpowered, and overbearing electric SUVs proliferating across the market, and it has an appealing taste all its own."
